Reception Children visit Hutton Village Care Home

The children in Mrs Persue’s class demonstrated lovely manners and care to the residents at Hutton Village Care Home as they worked together to make paper plate poppies.

Cara chatted to two ladies, confidently telling them all about her grandad who lives in a care home whilst other children played the 'shopping list' board game - Arthur enjoyed showing a lady which items she needed to find to put into her shopping trolley.  The children were very excited when the biscuits and juice arrived and, after they had eaten one biscuit each, some of the children handed them out to the residents, or half a biscuit as they shared a biscuit with them!  Their visit ended by singing '5 Currant Buns in a Baker's Shop' - the residents enjoyed joining in.
