Woodlands Hutton Manor Ski Team achieve 3rd place in the British Schools Alpine Open Championships

Facing a tough, steep course with some difficult conditions, our team took to the slopes in style as they competed in the British Schools Alpine Open Championships in Pila, Italy earlier this month. They carved out the sort of results we could only have ever dreamed that these clever children would achieve. Racing against other children who live and train in the Alps, and with their confidence well and truly in place, they all had their eyes firmly set on the medal positions. Their impressive results are as follows:
Grand Slalom
Girls: Scarlett - 3rd, Isabella - 4th
Boys: Henry - 4th, Lucas - 5th, Leo - 6th, Francis - 11th
Kombi
Girls: Isabella - 3rd, Scarlett - 4th, Agatha - 5th
Boys: Lucas - 4th (0.3 second off bronze), Henry - 5th, Leo - 6th, Francis - 11th
Overall combined
Girls: Isabella - 3rd, Scarlett - 4th, Agatha - 5th
Boys: Lucas - 4th, Henry - 5th, Leo - 6th, Francis - 11th

School results -Woodlands Hutton Manor drew for 2nd place on points but were pipped to 3rd place based on overall time differences.

Special mention to Lucas and Henry who did brilliantly in the highly competitive boys' category achieving 4th places, and also to Leo and Scarlett who were skiing up an age group; they have another 3 years in this category...future stars?!
