Initial one year contract (potential to be extended)
Working hours are 8am to 4:30pm
All staff are required to attend afterschool meetings on Tuesday evening, staff training (as scheduled across the year) and run an afterschool club once a week.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and inspiring Year 2 Class Teacher to join our dedicated team and help nurture a love of learning in our pupils.

The Role
We are looking for a confident and happy teacher who can bring energy, creativity, and warmth to the classroom. The successful candidate will plan and deliver engaging, stimulating lessons that encourage curiosity, independence, and a love of learning in our Year 2 pupils.
You will:
- Create a positive, nurturing, and inspiring classroom environment
- Deliver creative and engaging lessons across the curriculum
- Support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development
- Work closely with colleagues and parents to ensure every child thrives
- Contribute positively to the wider life of the school community
The Ideal Candidate
We would love to hear from candidates who:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Have experience teaching in Year 1 or Year 2 (essential)
- Have an understanding of RWI phonics (training can be provided, as we use an adapted scheme based on RWI)
- Are creative, enthusiastic and willing to think outside the box
- Have excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Are committed to delivering fun, engaging and high-quality learning experiences
- Thrive as part of a supportive and collaborative team
