Nursery and Lower Kindgerten Admissions Process

Choosing a school or nursery for your child is one of the most important decisions you will make as a parent. We are committed to helping you make the best choice for your child and welcome the opportunity to introduce you to all that Woodlands Schools and Little Acorns Nurseries have to offer. We're here to guide you through every stage to ensure the Admissions process is as simple and straightforward as possible.

Visit the Nursery or Lower Kindergarten

We invite you to visit us for a personal tour of the settings with the Nursery Manager at Little Acorns or the Head Teacher at Lower Kindergarten.  To ensure limited disruption to our nursery children, personal tours take place in the mornings.

A visit will enable you to:

  • explore our grounds and facilities
  • meet the staff and children
  • see the setting in action and have your questions answered

Registering your child

Should you wish to apply for a place, we ask that you formally register your interest by:

  • completing and returning the  Registration Form
  • providing a copy of your child’s full birth certificate for ID purposes
  • making payment of the non-refundable £75

Upon our receipt of your full Registration, your child’s name will be placed onto the Nursery or Lower Kindergarten waiting list.

Offer of a place

Our Registrar will contact you as soon as a place becomes available.  This offer will be based on the current information you have provided.  Upon your verbal acceptance, our Registrar will provide you with a formal offer letter, outlining your child’s agreed start date and sessions.  A deposit of £600 will be requested at this stage to secure the place.

Place acceptance

Upon our receipt of your formal acceptance and the deposit of £600 deposit, you will receive confirmation of your child’s place along with further information in preparation for your child joining, this will also include how to order uniform (applicable to children aged 2+).

Settling in sessions

To familiarise your child with the setting and their key person, we will invite you both to attend settling in sessions the week before your child's start date. You will be able to discuss your child’s specific care requirements with their key person, to help us meet their needs including feeding schedules, naps and other care where appropriate.

We look forward to welcoming you to our wonderful Nursery at Hutton Manor and Lower Kindergarten at Great Warley
